Final night on Beale St...

Saturday Night was spent on Beale St. The famous drag in Memphis, where almost anything goes (until 3am , at least)

We arrived as the Basketball game (Grizzlies) was letting out, directly on to Beale street, they won, and it was an important playoff game. The energy was amazing and the crowds were Huge!

It was simply like nothing we had ever seen...

After a fine meal at a sidewalk cafe downtown, a few blocks over, we hit the street and got some drinks. Just listening to all the great music, walking with my Sis and picking up a few last trinkets for the family was great fun. Add the people watching for just thousands and thousands of people imbibing was an experience.

We found a perch at a bar above the street so we could watch it from above the crowd for a while... the sounds, smells, and energy was not quite like anything i had seen, and I've been to quite a few large partys and events. This is something all to itself...

My sister Really, really enjoyed herself that night, and we had a great time chatting with folks and wandering around listening to all the great acts. I really loved my time spent with my Sister, and I very much look forward to hanging with her and her family in a few weeks, when i arrive in NJ.

Before we hit the strip and drank a fishbowl of spirits...

Approaching the strip, you can feel the energy a block away!

During the fishbowl...

Gals playing basketball in mini-skirts...

After the fishbowl...

Last shot before the Airport, Thanks, Sis, what a great time!
