On to Louisiana, the Bayou... and the Big Easy....

Headed out of Texas and across the great Bayou to New Orleans.

Driving across the bayou was beautiful. For the first few days in the area we stayed west of the city, and explored the missisppi and a few old towns.

Pups and I setup west of town to get our bearings, and get some shopping and cleaning done.

Explored the banks of the Mississippi, and a cute river town called Kenner.

Got out to the French Quarter, and the dogs watched the buildup of people and sights, smells and sounds from above the street while i enjoyed a bloody mary and some Gumbo.

Headed to the river front and enjoyed the street artists and musicians. The dogs always get smiles, and start conversations. Met people from all over the world.

The local beer i have been enjoying is Abita Brewings "Andygator" its a strong dopplebock, and has my best buddies name in it. Very tasty, I will go find that brewery, if time allows.
