Gone Fishin'

Got back 'down the shore' for some fishing.

While i don't fish very often, and it was apparent on the look on my face. as we stood on the shore with the myriad of poles, reels, and sharp objects, Its my buddy's favorite thing to do, so i went down for the adventure. The guys got me setup and taught me to hook the nasty bloodworms on the line, which i quickly sub contracted to a friend with a promise of lunch... Thanks!

Check it out, though, I caught a Shark!!! lol  it was a toothless sand shark, but was fun, nonetheless.

Well, Last week saw my 41st Birthday.

I actually share my birthday with a good friend in NJ.  So we planned a Birthday dinner out...

Went to Jacks Firehouse, in Philly. This place was Great!  It is in an old firehouse form the 1800s, it still has the firepole. very classy. The food is all American dishes, farm fresh, classic styles, with a fresh take on them.

Thanks to all who joined us out. We all highly recommend this place!

My dad got a nice room, and I got us tickets to see Willie at Ceasar's.

It was nice to visit Atlantic City, i have many fun memories of time spent in the area.

We had a great steak dinner, walk on boardwalk, I bet (and Lost) on Horses, and then a GREAT show with Willie Nelson.   He is a great performer, and true storyteller with his music. I really enjoyed it.

My thanks to dad for helping put it together. And my hats off to Willie and the family band for a great, non stop set of classic American Music!

Take me out to the ball game!

I got out to a Phillies game last weekend. I had a grea time with my brother nice and nephew, who are all big sports fans. The Ballpark was really nice, and we had pretty good seats, It was Very Hot!, so we walked around the stadium a bit to try to keep out of the sun. It was a good time catching up with family.

New Jersey update; visiting Family & Friends

Well we have been busy with many things these past few weeks. It has been great to spend so much time getting to know my Nephews, and hanging out with Mom, Stepdad, and many old friends.

The road to New Jersey

Well it was a long drive from NC to NJ!

I was reminded quickly of the East Coast driving mentality, and the congestion on the 95 beltway through DC and Baltimore made the Trailer seem quite a bit larger.

I will report i have 'christened' the Trailer, as while driving through one of the (too) many tollbooths, I misjudged as i pulled out and scratched up the side on the tollbooth exit!... The damage is minimal, and will be repaired at a later date...  I'm glad in the end the mistake only involved me and the trailer, and not anyone else...

I have prepared several new posts, i will work on uploading the photos after work.
